Multicultural Introduction

As Canadians exit their doors, they will notice people from all over the world. With Canada’s long history of discrimination and exclusion, how did Canada become the multicultural nation we see today?After the War of 1812, immigrants have came to Upper and Lower Canada. Many of them are from Asia, the United States, and Europe. Why did people immigrate to Canada? This blog is going to talk about how different people immigrated to Canada and how discrimination affected them. In 1908, 400,000 Europeans came to Canada; however, there were no one from any other locations. It will also talk about push and pull factors. Push factors are reasons why a certain group of people leave their homes and pull factors are reason why their new home is a good place.
