The Political Spectrum (Conformity vs Individuality)

The political spectrum is used to classify different countries or political parties.

Left wing:

-spend less on military

-support any changes which will increase welfare

-government should play a larger role

-help more

-laws protect all citizen rights

-more power to civilians and less power to police during protesting

-legal system should be less strict against offenders

-government is in control of large businesses or resources.

Centre wing:

-maintain how much money to spend now

-tradition is carried

-will change if most people support

-government should only improve lives of citizens

-law are important because they protect rights

-must be balance between protecting community and revitalizing offenders

-owners of economy should be mixed between government and private ownership

Right wing:

-military should be funded

-tradition is kept and changes are made carefully

-government should not involve with citizens daily lives

-businesses should interact with civilians and make sure there needs are meet

-enforcing the law is important because it ensures the safety of citizens

-the police has majority of the power during protesting

-law breakers need to be punished harshly

-small businesses are able to control the economy

Conformity vs Individuality

One major difference between left and right wing is society vs individual.

Left wing believes in a community where everyone is equal and no one should be poor; therefore, they increase welfares. They believe that the government should own all the resources and important industries. They also believe that the government has less power than it’s people.

Right wing believes in individuality where some individuals have more power than others. The major companies are owned by different people. The government has more power than most people.
